Totally establishing herself as the action woman of Hollywood, Charlize Theron is going to be kicking some serious ass with her new movie, Atomic Blonde. The South African stunner sizzled in the first official trailer released, and fans can’t wait to see what more she could possibly have for us.
Directed by David Leitch of John Wick and Deadpool 2 fame, the woman-centric action film is hotter than hell. Theron plays the role of a spy in pre-united Germany, who is part of MI6 and must break a very vicious ring of criminals. On her expedition, she pairs up with David Percival, and meets with a sexy French operative with who she shares some sensual chemistry.

Atomic Blonde is based on the graphic book The Coldest City and will be released on July 28, 2017.
Lead actress Charlize Theron was recently at the screening of the movie at SXSW 2017 and spoke about the gruelling time she had making the movie. She had to do most of the stunts herself, and she ended up breaking two of her teeth! This isn’t the first time that she has taken on an action role. Her superhero film, Aeon Flux didn’t do that great at the box office, but her role in Mad Max: Fury Road earned her great accolades from critics. And she says of her upcoming role in Atomic Blonde: “I think great strength comes from women who can be vulnerable and look at their weaknesses and find their strengths from that. I think you almost have to be incredibly vulnerable and weak in order to find strength, to survive something.”
And as for her undeniable on-screen chemistry with co-star Sofia Boutella, she admits that there wasn’t really any effort on both their parts. She says, “Seducing her? It’s very easy. She’s gorgeous! She was just great. She was the only actress we looked at. She came over, she hung out with me and [director David Leitch] and there was something about her that was so genuinely innocent and yet incredibly strong, that she was really perfect for the film. She’s a dancer, I’m a dancer. So, we’re a little bit like – you know dancers are like, ‘What? Being naked is nothing’. We just wanted to be real and cool.”
Two movies staring Charlize Theron will be releasing within months of each other. The Fate Of The Furious in April and Atomic Blonde in July.
