Hollywood FAQs: Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara ruled the red carpet on Sunday night with her eye-catching red gown at the 2011 Emmy Awards. The stunning actress took away all the attention by wearing a red gown that flaunted her killer curves and had a beautiful flare at the bottom.
Sofia walked down the red carpet and spoke about her accessories and ear rings that she got from her native country Colombia. The actress, who plays the role of Gloria in the award winning TV series ‘Modern Family’, said that everything that comes from Colombia is huge. We couldn’t agree less!
At the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, ‘Modern Family’ won the coveted Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.
The actress had lost out on one of the awards after it was claimed by her fellow star Julie Bowen. In the Modern Family TV series, Bowen plays the role Claire and won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy Series category.
The actress also presented an award for Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy that had went to McCarthy from Mike & Molly. Sofia had presented the award along with actor Rob Lowe and had also poked fun of herself and had made the audience laugh. Vergara was also nominated for the Golden Globe Awards for her role of Gloria in Modern Family.
Another stunning actress for the night was Titanic actress Actress Kate Winslet, who won the Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress for Mildred Pierce.
The 2011 Emmy Awards was hosted by Glee star Jamie Lynch.
