It’s very rare to find gorgeous siblings killing it at the same time in their field. And, it’s even more rare to see them being genuinely supportive of each other, cheering each other on. But when it comes to the DNA-gifted supermodels, Gigi and Bella Hadid, they do just that. Last year, it was only Gigi who managed to make it as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. This year, the joy was multiplied when her younger sister, Bella got her own set of wings. And, they will be breaking runway history, at least when it comes to the luxury lingerie brand, to be the first two sisters to walk the same ramp. Their mother, Yolanda Hadid, a former model herself, must be so proud.
Though both sisters were part of the same show, they didn’t exactly walk the ramp together, but came out two separate times, to shine in their own spotlight. However, off-stage, there was no shortage to the amount of posing they did together in their custom pink Victoria’s Secret silk robes.
Their mother, Yolanda, posted a throwback picture of her “angels” on Instagram, with the caption: “17 years after I photographed my “ANGELS”. Today is the day that they will be walking in the fashion show together…… #Excited #Grateful #Paris #VS #Sisters #ProudMommy”. Of course, the post met with severe backlash, because the image shows completely naked little girls with angel wings. Fans were afraid that paedophiles might have a field day ogling at the two minor girls, and that a mother should be more discrete about publicly posting images of her minor girls.

Both models expressed their happiness over being chosen as Angels, a feat that few models get to boast of in their entire careers. On each of their personal Instagram accounts, they were excited about their foray onto the Victoria’s Secret stage.
Gigi said: “There’s no feeling in the world like walking down this runway. I’m elated to say I’ll be returning to the @VictoriasSecret Fashion Show this year. Thank you @ed_razek for putting on the show that has been one of my greatest motivators since I was a teenage fan of the Angels, and for making this dream come true for me again. It will forever be an honor. Can’t wait to join the surreally beautiful and inspiring women that are the #vsfs2016 lineup. See you in Paris!”
Bella said: “There is no better feeling than being confirmed for the @victoriassecret fashion show!!! What a dream come true…I feel so appreciative and excited! Thank you for this opportunity to walk next to some of the most inspiring and incredible women in the world.”
