So, rumors have been proven true! After months of speculation whether 23-year-old One Direction‘s Liam Payne and 33-year-old Girls Aloud pop star and X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole are expecting a child together or not, proof is in the photography.
Last night, the couple were snapped by paparazzi as they made their way to a Christmas carol concert. Though Cheryl covered herself from the cold in a long winter coat, her very visible baby bump could be seen protruding from her olive green dress. It looks like she’s not hiding anymore! Sources, in fact, say that she is currently in her second trimester and everything looks fine health-wise for baby and mum. To say the least, the couple looked smitten together.
And how did the couple first meet? Way back in 2008 when Liam was just 14-years-old and One Direction was auditioning for the X Factor. Though things didn’t heat up right then, thank God, the couple met this past February and have been very coy about their relationship in the past, though a few cheeky social media posts showed them glowing together.
This will be the first child for both of them. Liam has had no significant relationship during his time with One Direction, and only seems to have concentrated on his personal life after the band split. For Cheryl, she hasn’t been so lucky in love. Her first marriage to soccer player, Ashley Cole ended after a very public cheating scandal. She had even changed her maiden name from Cheryl Tweedy to Cheryl Cole. After that, she was rumored to be dating Black Eyed Peas star, Will.i.am, since he was helping her out with her career in the United States. Then she got married to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini and once again changed her name to Cheryl Anne Fernandez-Versini. That marriage lasted two years, and the couple were estranged for a while before finalizing their divorce last month.
We wish the couple a happy pregnancy together and hope that this relationship lasts for a long time. The only other One Direction star to become a father is Louis Tomlinson who welcomed a baby boy, Freddie with his ex, Briana Jungwirth.
