The year 2016 promises to be a vintage one for all you binge-watchers out there, so stake out your favorite seat and get comfortable as we look forward to some silver-screen awesomeness with these upcoming premiers:

A star-studded cast is led onto the stage by Tumblr heartthrob Tom Hiddleston as lead and the inimitable Hugh Laurie as his antagonist.
2. ‘Preacher’ (AMC) – around mid-year
Rundown: A Texas preacher in spiritual crisis is possessed by a powerful supernatural element and teams up with his hit-woman ex-girlfriend and an Irish vampire in search of a missing God.
Backstage: Bringing one of the most acclaimed comic books to glorious life, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg brought on a seemingly perfect fit cast of Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, and Ruth Negga in this puerile-yet-smart production.
3. ‘Love’ (HBO) – February 19

Rundown: A sweet, bumbling nerd and a beautiful, free-spirited woman traverse the twist and turns of a modern relationship with laughter and warmth.
Backstage: Judd Apatow creates this modern ‘Dharma and Greg’ throwback with Paul Rust and Gillian Jacobs playing the leads in this self-billed contemporary, authentic take on the romantic comedy. Australian comic Claudia O’Doherty and silver-screen veteran Dave ‘Gruber’ Allen round out the cast.
4. ‘Lucifer’ (FOX) – January 25
Rundown: A bored lord of Hell (Lucifer), resigns from his throne and comes up to walk the earth, specifically Los Angeles while keeping himself amused by helping the LAPD mete out punishments to criminals.
Backstage: Heavyweight Jerry Bruckheimer is among the executive producers of this loose adaptation of DC Comic’s Lucifer. Tom Ellis takes up the dark role in this genre mashup with potential.
5. ‘Vinyl’ (HBO) – February 14
Rundown: Set in the wilderness that was the 1970’s sex, drugs and rock n’ roll scene, under-fire record label president Richie Finestra struggles to save his business and his soul.
Backstage: Martin Scorcese comes through to delight his fans with this epic journey through an era whose music fascinates him while serving up an authentic money-power-respect drama. With special appearances by living legend Mick Jagger, and starring fan favorites Bobby Cannavale alongside the ever-stunning Olivia Wilde, this is definitely one not to miss.
