Irish Singer and song writer Sinead O’Connor was found unconscious by police in Dublin on November 30, 2015. The singer had posted a series of disturbed messages on the social networking site Facebook while claiming that she had taken an overdose.
The news was confirmed by a friend of the singer Mary Coughlan who said that Sinead was unconscious when she was found by the officers. O’Connor is currently in a stable condition in the hospital and is being treated. The singer is expected to recover soon. Coughlan posted on Facebook, ‘Sinead is not in any danger and is receiving medical assistance.’ She added that O’Connor’s children are being cared for by close family.
Christy Digham, a musician from the rock band Aslan has offered to help O’Connor and said, ‘I know Sinead – she’s a lovely, lovely girl and she’s going through a lot. This could be somewhere for her to recharge her batteries.’ The singer started posting strange messages on Facebook starting on November 29, 2015 in which she said that she will quit the music industry.
The singer in her messages expressed that she needs a new home and a new job and that music is over for her. Sinead raised fear among fans when she revealed she has taken an overdose and has checked in a hotel in Dublin.
