American country music singer Jason Aldean and his wife Jessica Ussery have reportedly called it quits. Reports of their split have surfaced after certain pictures of the singer kissing American Idol star Brittany Kerr made their way into the tabloids.
Sources have revealed that the couple had split in the month of January this year. Close friends of the couple revealed that there were obvious problems between the two after the controversial pictures were revealed, but they finally called it quits earlier this year.
A representative of the couple said, “I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share at this time. It’s a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way.” The pictures of Aldean kissing the American Idol star surfaced in the month of October 2012.
After the incident, the singer had apologized on his official Facebook page and wrote, “I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip websites”. Aldean and Ussery have been together since high school and have been married for 11 years.
