After being in the hospital for around six days, rapper Lil Wayne is now finally heading home, as of March 18, 2013. Wayne was admitted to the hospital in Los Angeles after he suffered a seizure on Tuesday.
On March 19, 2013 the YM president and a close friend Mack Maine broke the news on Twitter saying, “Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home….God is great”. Today Mack traveled to New York and hit Brooklyn Bowl with his collaborator Talib Kweli.
In recent days Maine has done well in keeping Wayne’s well wishers and fans updated about his health. On Friday it was reported that the rapper was in a medical coma and being prepared for his last rites. However, Mack and Cash Money CEO Birdman took to social networking site Twitter to sort out the matter. After the incident, several questions had surrounded Wayne’s health, due to which Birdman went on the Hot 97’s Angie Martinez Show earlier in the day.
Through the show, Birdman clarified that Wayne had suffered from just one seizure and did not suffer multiple attacks, as were earlier reported. The rapper was in the hospital for six days and reports also said that doctors had to pump his stomach three times, as they found large amounts of codeine in his system.
