Barbadian singer Rihanna had cancelled her Boston show on March 10, 2013 and has called off another show in Baltimore Mariner Arena. The pop star is still battling flu and laryngitis.
The ‘Where Have You Been’ singer had just started off her Diamonds World tour in Buffalo, N.Y on Friday, but she could not perform on Sunday in Boston due to her illness. On March 10, 2013, the singer tweeted, “#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we’ve been waiting on this day forever and I’m hurt that I let you down”.
The ‘Diamonds’ singer added, “I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!#DWT”. Rihanna has been advised by the doctors to work less and rest more, so that she can recuperate.
Reports say that both the shows that were cancelled are being rescheduled. Earlier reports claimed that Rihanna could not wait to hit the road for the tour and interact with her fans, due to which she took her health condition lightly at rehearsals. The ‘Umbrella’ singer intended to save her energy for her fans, but was unable to continue.
