Hollywood FAQs: British singer and song writer Rochelle Wiseman and singer Marvin Humes have recently announced that they are engaged. The 26-year-old JLS star proposed to the 22-year-old singer and also posted a picture of the couple on a beach while toasting with champagne.
In the picture, Rochelle is proudly seen flashing her engagement ring which is a heart shaped diamond.
Wiseman took to her Twitter account and wrote, ‘Its official Marvin proposed 2me 2day,wanted 2 tell u b4 some1 else did! SO excited 2 b Mrs Humes. x’ (sic). Even Marvin took his official JLS account and wrote, ‘Happy New Year everyone!!! So everyone hears it from me… Rochelle and I are engaged!! Party time tonight! Have a great one..All love..Marv x’ The couple was then flooded with congratulatory messages after which the two thanked everyone for the shower of love and best wishes.
Humes added that they are the happiest people in the world and this is the perfect start to the year 2012. Rochelle and Humes began dating in the year 2010 as they came across each other several times in the showbiz party circuit. In between the two also went through a brief split between November and January. The coupe then said that it was due to their work commitments that kept them away from each other. Eventually the two moved back together which signaled the importance of their relationship.
In an interview, Rochelle said that they got back together as they realized that they did not want to let go of what they had. Rochelle is best known for her work in the pop groups S Club 8 and The Saturdays. She has achieved top 10 hits with her first band. Humes is currently a member of the boy band JLS. Earlier the singer was a member of another band called VS.
