Hollywood FAQs: American figure skater Johnny Weir has recently announced that he has got married. The skating champion has tied the knot with his boyfriend Victor Voronov. Weir tweeted about the news and wrote, “I’m married! “No more livin’ in sin!”. The representative of the skater said that the 27-year-old has married Georgetown Law Graduate Victor Voronov in an early morning civil ceremony on December 30, 2011 at the New York City Courthouse.
The representative also said that the couple couple exchanged handwritten vows amidst the parents Patti and John Weir and Tony and Lili Voronov. Officially, the couple has taken the new surname Weir Voronov. However, Johnny will be professionally be known as Johnny Weir.
As all the formal ceremonies are done, the start tweeted, “Johnny and Victor will have a large wedding in July 2012 to celebrate with friends and family”.
Weir also released a statement in which he said that marrying Victor was the greatest moment of his life and that he will be working really hard to make him happy and proud. The skater added that apart from the immense joy, it also gives the skin an immense joy. Weir has now planned to make a home and a family in Bergen County, New Jersey. The statement further added that he is happy to find a match and that finding someone to share your life with is one of the most important things a human can do.
The statement added that Weir was honored to be married in the state of New York. Even Voronov in the statement said that Johnny is the most caring, wonderful and nurturing person and he can be guaranteed of one thing that he will never be bored while being with Weir. Voronov added that he is now looking forward to begin his life with the most incredible person.
