After announcing that she was expecting her 20th child, Duggar released a statement saying that they were told on December 8, at the doctor’s appointment that she has suffered a miscarriage. Jim Bob Duggar and his wife already have 19 children and on Thursday morning, the couple were told by the doctor that Michelle had miscarried. In the statement, Bob added that his wife is resting at home and asked for privacy.
It was announced last month that Bob and his wife were expecting their 20th child in the month of April 2012 and that she was worried due to the premature birth of their youngest child who was born two years back. Last month,Duggar said that she went through the first trimester safely. Michelle stated that she and her husband were lately discussing the name of the baby, but it has been a real sad disappointment.
In an interview, Duggar said that she felt heart broken to tell the sad news to her children who were so excited about the new baby girl or boy, which was due in the month of April. Michelle said that revealing the sad new to their children was the most difficult part. The family has now planned to hold a funeral for the baby once they find out if it was a boy or a girl and choose a name.
In the month of November, the family announced on the ‘Today’ show that they were expecting their 20th child. This is the second miscarriage for Michelle. She suffered the first miscarriage during her second pregnancy, while she was using birth control pills. The family says that that was the reason they decided to have so many children. The latest baby of the family was born through an emergency C-section in the year 2009.
