If you’re even remotely aware about bestselling author Stephen King’s methods of scary, then you’re in for a treat. Childhood fun and games turn gory when a psychotic clown hits the town. Only known as IT, the demon circus freak terrorizes a bunch of school children, known as The Losers’ Club in Derry, Maine.
Stephen King is an evil genius who knows how to use psychology to take you into his stories and scare the crap out of you. From The Shining to The Shawshank Redemption, this man can take the ordinary and turn it into something so imaginatively extraordinary. Of course, for those who have a phobia of clowns or who find something iffy about Ronald McDonald, then watch at your own peril.
It: Part 1 – The Losers’ Club is meant to be the first part of a two-part series adapted from Stephen King’s novel of the same name. The first time that It became a part of our nightmares, was back in 1991 with the miniseries by Tommy Lee Wallace. Just taking a look at the 2-minute-odd trailer, and you’re bound to frighten yourself. It’s scary in a very mind-paralysing way. The real name of It, as the children call it, is actually Pennywise the clown. You better get to know him, because you will be seeing a lot of him soon. Apparently, Stephen King got to watch it exclusively, and he loved it. So you can well imagine how perfectly terrifying it’s going to be.
