It was back in October 2016 that reality star Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in her suite in Paris. While making several appearances at Paris Fashion Week and posting her money and whereabouts on social media, she easily became a target for armed men to rob not only her possessions, but her peace of mind.

Now, nearly six months after the ordeal she suffered, she’s opening up about the harrowing experience through the family reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 13. Tearfully, she recounts exactly what happened that night. Though a lot of people feel little to no pity for her because of the public image she has created for herself, you can’t help but feel for her, at least based on what she was put through that night. In the trailer for the upcoming season, she also mentions Howard Stern, the popular radio and talent show personality who said that Kim should be jailed if she is found out making up this story for publicity.

Speaking to the cameras, Kim Kardashian West told of how she felt she was going to be raped and shot dead, in what she felt were the final moments of her life. Recalling that fateful night, she says: “Then [one of the robbers] duct tapes my face, my mouth, to get me to not yell or anything and then he grabs my legs and I wasn’t, I had no clothes on under [the white bathrobe] and he pulls me towards him at the front of the bed and I thought, ‘okay, this is the moment. They are going to rape me’. And I fully mentally prepared myself and then he didn’t and he duct taped my legs together.”
“Then they had the gun up to me and I just knew that was the moment they are just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed Kourtney [Kardashian, elder sister] was going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed.”
Since the robbery, investigations were held, and a number of suspects were arrested in the case. They also managed to recover a diamond cross that one of the robbers had dropped while escaping. However, Kim’s $8 million wedding ring gifted to her by husband Kanye West has still not been recovered.
