The queen has found her king! After months of speculation, tabloid rumors and intense celebrity gossip, it has now been confirmed that Adele is, in fact, happily married! And no, it wasn’t a “source” who spilled the beans, but the Hello singer herself.
The question first rose, when during her acceptance speech at the Grammys 2017, Adele thanked her “husband”, Simon Konecki. And, Konecki was spotted by hawk-eyed paparazzi to wearing a gold ring on that finger while attending the BRIT Awards 2017.
Adele is in Australia this week for a concert in Brisbane, and had taken the stage to perform one of her first hits, Someone Like You. She also took time to speak to the crowd, and happened to spill the beans in front of thousands. “I was trying to remember how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record. Because as bad as a break up can be, and as bitter and horrible and messy it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth, and I am addicted to that feeling. Obviously, I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now.”
The singer, 28 and Konecki, 42, have been together since 2011. They share a son, aged 4, together. And it is only Adele who enjoys the spotlight, while her love is more behind-the-scenes, and supports her thoroughly, her being one of the most celebrated music artists of our time. Their love seems to have grown from strength to strength, and they make sure to keep the flame alive. In fact, on one particular occasion, Simon surprised Adele by showering her with thousands of notes that said ‘I love you’ like confetti, while she was performing.
It’s great to see true love like this alive and we can’t wait for Adele to create some love ballads on her own life, which audiences would thoroughly enjoy.
