It’s finally here! Star Lord and his gang of out-worldly characters are back for more jokes, action and probably a brand new Mix Tape. This week, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Chris Pratt, who plays the lead character, released the official trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, the second film in the hit Marvel studios franchise.

As Executive Producer for the movie, Jonathan Schwartz put it: “They’re kind of famous and they’re kind of rockstars in their own mind. They’re a little bit more full of themselves, they’re a little bit more confident.”

The trailer gives us a sneak-peek into some major action sequences and a slew of new foes, including a toothy monster. Foes such as Irani Rael and Yondu Udonta are making an appearance in Vol. 2, along with new friends of the Guardians – including Mantis, Taserface, Ayesha, Ego and their former nemesis, Nebula.

All of this happens with the background score of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. So looks like Star Lord has his mixtape, Vol. 2! A surprising character that emerges right at the end of the trailer shows the Lord’s long-lost father, Ego who might just be the one to help the Guardians save the Galaxy for the second time around.
