This past week, the new couple were spotted out and about on a romantic getaway to Florence, Italy. Rumor has it that their vacation that involved museums and boat cruises cost them over $200,000, so you know they’re serious enough to be spending that much on each other.
In fact, it looks like the both of them have made their relationship official in the most Hollywood kind of way – through Instagram. The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) followed Selena on the social media site, and she uploaded short videos of him while they were out on the waters, captioning the video with a heart-eye emoji. And now, if even more rumors are to be believed, the two of them will also be attending the Grammy awards together! If they do, this will be the first time that they are going hand in hand on local turf and we are so psyched, that we hope this news is true.
Selena and The Weeknd were first spotted by paparazzi making out behind a dumpster, after a date at one of Hollywood’s most trendiest restaurants. There was no denying their chemistry, though each of their respective exes called BS on the whole relationship. Sources said that both Justin Bieber, who dated the Hands To Myself singer for a long time, and Victoria’s Secret supermodel, Bella Hadid, who broke up with The Weeknd last year after nearly two years of dating, are getting salty and saying that this is a publicity stunt, mostly from Selena’s side, since the two singers will be collaborating soon.
In fact, Justin Bieber made snide remarks about The Weeknd when he was stopped by TMZ and asked to comment on the latter’s music, which he said is “wack”. Also, Bella Hadid flipped the bird to paparazzi shortly after the first images of Selena and The Weeknd were released. It looks like neither of these two have overcome their bitterness from their former relationship, while Selena and Starboy are throwing caution to the wind and openly declaring their love of each other.
