Hmmm. Wonder how he will die. At least if George R R Martin has his way. Star UFC Fighter Conor McGregor will have a new job on screen – probably fighting the White Walkers or being a part of the Unsullied. In any case, when it comes to HBO’s Game Of Thrones, it’s always kill, or be killed. McGregor just confirmed the rumors that have been swirling around lately – he is confirmed for a role on the hit tv series about the land of Westeros and the fight for the Seven Kingdoms.
UFC President, Dana White did finally confirm the cameo to be played by the bashing sportsman in the upcoming Season of Game of Thrones. “I did hear that,” she confirmed to FOX Sports Live, “I knew a few months ago that they are interested in putting him in the show. I’m glad he did it. It will be great. The show is huge. It’s awesome and I’m excited for him.”
Game of Thrones show produces, David Benioff and D B Weiss are known huge fans of the UFC fighter and the game itself. Also, Liam Cunningham, the actor who plays Davos Seaworth (or the Onion Knight) on the show works out in the same gym as Conor McGregor. Though they had extended their invitation a long time ago, it has only been confirmed now, though what part or character Conor will play in the story is still unknown. Will it be recurring? Of course, he’s going to die, but how? How gory will his end be? Because remember – Valar Morghulis – All Men Must Die.
Already Conor has had a friendly spar with The Mountain (or Sir Gregor Clegane) of the show.
In related news, the Irish UFC Fighter and his known arch enemy, Floyd Mayweather are looking to get into a serious fight together. The latter has already made it public, as per breaking news yesterday, that he would love to get into professional fisticuffs with McGregor and is demanding another bout of fighting in the ring.
