Transformers: The Last Knight First Trailer + Release Date

Transformers - The Last Knight

How many years has it been since the first Transformers movie hit theatres? Ten years. A decade. Boy, are we getting old. But the story of the Autobots led by Optimus Prime probably never will, as another instalment to the hit franchise, directed by Michael Bay, is coming soon. Titled Transformers: The Last Knight, and the first official trailer just dropped! Check it out –

So, that was Sir Anthony Hopkin’s voice-over taking the Witwicky saying: No sacrifice, no victory. The latest movie appears somewhat dark, and talks about the battle going on between two species – one of the flesh and one of metal. Optimus Prime is obsolete, at least for now. Cade Yeager, the humble Texan farmer is here to help save the Autobots, particularly Bumblebee, who doesn’t look like he’s going to win this battle. William Lennox and Robert Epps assist Cade in their battle…and does that look like they are about to resurrect Unicron? Fans are pointing out that as Optimus Prime seems to murder Bumblebee and whisper, “Forgive me”, that his eyes are purple and not blue, which could mean that he is being possessed, and not his noble self.

Cast

Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager

Josh Duhamel as William Lennox

Tyrese Gibson as Robert Epps

Sir Anthony Hopkins as a professor

Stanley Tucci as Joshua Joyce

Isabella Moner as Izabella

Peter Cullen (voice) as Optimus Prime

John Goodman (voice) as Hound

It is reported to be the last film for Bay, though probably not for Paramount Pictures. Already the franchise has earned billions at the box office and through merchandise and the animated series spin-off. The budget for the film is at an astounding $260 million, for special effects that in the past have won prestigious awards.

Transformers: The Last Knight is going to release in the United States and in most countries worldwide on June 23, 2017.
