Amazon Prime has quite a few shows lined up for this fall, here a few we are waiting eagerly to watch!
Goliath
After an impressive performance on “Fargo”, Billy Bob Thornton is now at the center of yet another dark crime drama, “Goliath.” The upcoming series is an Amazon original series created and executive produced by David E. Kelly and Jonathan Shapiro. Larry Trilling and Ross Fineman are also executive producers.
The show is set in Los Angeles and features Maria Bello, William Hurt and Olivia Thirlby as its stars. The show is an ultimate David vs. Goliath battle playing out in the 21st century American legal system.
The series is about a down-and-out lawyer (Thornton) as he seeks some sort of redemption. His only shot is dependent on getting justice out of a legal system which has treated truth as a commodity and the scales of justice are weighed heavily toward the rich and powerful.
According to the official synopsis, lawyer Billy McBride, once a powerful and successful lawyer, has fallen from grace and traded the courtroom for a bar. However, things turn around when he reluctantly agrees to take up a wrongful death lawsuit against Cooperman and McBride’s biggest client. As he pursues this case against the law firm he helped build, he and his ragtag team uncover a deadly conspiracy that pits them in a life or death struggle against the ultimate Goliath.

Good Girls Revolt
“Good Girls Revolt” is another ambitious series by Amazon. The show is set in 1969, right at the beginning of the women’s rights movement. A group of young women working for the hottest magazine in the world requests fair treatment, setting off a cataclysmic chain of events. Dana Calvo is the writer and executive producer. Other executive producers include Jeff Okin, Lynda Obst, and Darlene Hunt. Don Kurt is a co-executive producer.

The Man in the High Castle
Another acclaimed Amazon show – “The Man in the High Castle” is set to return with a new Season 2 onAmazon Video. The show is based on a 1962 alternate history novel by Philip Dick and the season will consist of 10 episodes.
The series has casted Tzi Ma as General Onoda. He’s a big personality who has a temper and a large appetite for life. He enjoys his life with women, drink and food. The character has a history with Trade Minister Tagomi whose true loyalties are ambiguous throughout the series’ pilot season. The general will depend on Tagomi’s support and on his connections with the trade minister. – Is He a New Villain? Looks like we’ll have to wait and watch on this one!
