Supergirl Season 2 is expected to borrow much from the Superman universe, including the Man of Steel himself. Other new additions to the new season include a host of new friends, new villains as well as many more crossover opportunities with other superhero shows on CW. Superman will appear in (at least) the first two episodes of Supergirl Season 2. He’ll be played by Tyler Hoechlin.
Longtime Superman supporting character Maggie Sawyer is coming to the show. Maggie is the head of the National City Science Police. So, what can fans expect in Supergirl Season 2?
Here is a synopsis of the season premiere, “The Adventures of Supergirl.”
air date: 10/10/16
A new threat comes up in National City and to stop it, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) joins forces with her cousin, Clark Kent/Superman (Tyler Hoechlin, a guest star). Even though Kara is excited to have family in town, Alex (Chyler Leigh) feels somewhat left out. Meanwhile, the pod that came crashing to planet leaves Supergirl and Hank (David Harewood) stunned.
To follow this up is “The Last Children of Krypton” (Season 2 Episode 2) official synopsis.
air date: 10/17/16
CADMUS carries out an attack on National City with a villain powered by kryptonite. This villain hurts Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) seriously. Superman (Tyler Hoechlin, guest star) ends up placing the blame on Hank since the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO. Meanwhile, Kara meets her new boss Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez, guest star) at her new job, not exactly what she had anticipated.
Here’s the Official Supergirl Season 2 trailer!
According to a clip by Entertainment Weekly, viewers now have exclusive access to what transpires in Season 2. The clip shows Clark Kent on the phone with Perry White. When an aircraft plummets towards National City, he quickly changes his outfit and joining forces with Clara, they save the day. (At least that’s the idea as the clip cuts off before the aircraft is safely on the ground). Also, Entertainment Weekly has reported that Brenda Strong has made it back to the cast in a recurring role.
Here are the latest bonus trailers released just before the Supergirl Season 2 Premiere.
This is almost certainly not footage from the Supergirl season 2 premiere episode. Instead, it’s just a neat showcase of the character’s power, specifically flight.
