Disney is the best! After promising us some pretty exciting upcoming movies, they have also just dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales movie. The 5th movie in the hit swashbuckling franchise will not only introduce some new dark characters, but bring old favorites back! In the trailer, we do not see any sign of the cocky Captain Jack Sparrow, but we get to meet yet another nemesis, this time back from the dead to take his revenge.
The storyline for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is about the dead Captain Salazar, who has escaped from the Devil’s Triangle to take revenge on the elusive Captain Jack Sparrow of the Black Pearl and rule over the seven seas. In his soulless plot, he comes across a young lad by the name of Henry, who is prisoner aboard a ship being led by British soldiers and who is shrouded in a curse that keeps him away from his true father.
Captain Jack Sparrow, along with his old buddies Joshamee Gibbs and Queen Anne’s Revenge’s Captain Barbossa, must find and gain access to the Trident of Poseidon in order to take control over the seas and therefore, defeat the evil plans of Captain Salazar. There is also a young astrologer, Carina Smyth, who has a book of secrets that will lead her to the Trident. In the depths of the briny blue resides Will Turner, now Davy Jones. Who’s side will he take in this epic battle for the control of the seas?
