Are they or aren’t they engaged? That is the question on everyone’s mind as Miley has been spotted flashing the Neil Lane sparkler that she last wore during her engagement to the Hunger Games hottie, Liam Hemsworth, back in 2012.
To recap, Miley and Liam began dating in early 2010 after meeting on the set of the movie The Last Song. They then had a three year on and off relationship until they announced their engagement in June 2012. Their engagement, however, was short lived as they called off the wedding in September 2013.
The rumours of their rekindled romance started when Miley spent New Years 2016 in Australia with Liam’s brothers (Luke and Chris) and their wives (Elsa Pataky and Samantha).
Miley and Liam were then seen canoodling at the Byron Bay Falls Music Festival on Sunday, Jan. 3 where they were actually spotted backstage together cuddling and kissing.
Shortly afterwards, while jetting in at JFK, Miley was seen wearing the 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring, handcrafted in 18-karat gold with carved diamond floral motifs in an art nouveau pattern. A few days later on January 18 she posted a picture to her Instagram wearing the ring on her left ring finger which sent the engagement rumor mill into overdrive.
Still in January, Miley was seen loading up a U-haul and heading over to Liam’s Malibu home which all but proved the rumors.
Even though Miley is still being spotted wearing the ring, Liam shocked their fans in a recent interview with Australia’s TV Week magazine by saying that they are not engaged. The interview was conducted on March 31.
Since then the couple have been spotted having lunch with Liam’s brothers (Chris and Luke) on Friday in LA and later at the Hollywood premiere of Chris’ new movie The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
So whether or not they will get engaged and publicly confirm their engagement, we can only wait and see.
