American singer and song writer Scott Weiland passed away at the age of 48 in Bloomington, Minnesota on December 3, 2015. The news was confirmed by Weiland’s manager who said that the details of the singer’s death will be released on December 4, 2015.
Initial reports have revealed that Scott passed away while touring and that he was found dead on his tour bus at around 9 PM. The singer was touring with the current group Wildabouts and were scheduled to perform at the Medina Entertainment Centre in Medina. The show had to be cancelled just before the performers were supposed to hit the stage.
The unfortunate news was announced by Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro in a Tweet and wrote, “Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died. So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight.” Scott was born in San Jose, California in 1967. Father Kent Kline and mother Sharon Williams divorced two years later after which he was adopted by Dave Weiland at the age of 5.
Weiland became popular during the early nineties as the frontman of San Diego- based Stone Temple Pilots who scored big hits like ‘Creep’ and ‘Big Empty’. The singer also battled drug addiction for most of his career.
