American singer and actress Britney Spears claimed the Style Icon award at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards at the Galen Centre in Los Angeles on August 17, 2015. The 33 year old singing sensation was seen in a daring silver outfit and was accompanied with sons Sean Preston, Jayden James and elder brother Bryan and his daughter Lexie.
The singer looked great with her blonde hair and appeared in high spirits as she accepted the special surfboard award. Spears accepted the award and gave an encouraging speech and told her fans to be fearless and not to be afraid of themselves. The singer said, ‘Fashion has always been something I’ve loved to experiment with. It gives us all a chance to express ourselves and our own personalities and to shine in our own way. To all the teens out there watching, be fearless in your choices and don’t be afraid to be yourself.’
The award was given by the girl group Fifth Harmony and flew down to Los Angeles for the awards ceremony as she took a break from her Las Vegas Show ‘Pieces of Me’ which will pick up again on August 18, 2015.
Britney was also nominated for ‘Choice Song: Female Artist’ with Iggy Azalea for their duet ‘Pretty Girls’ and Best Collaboration for the same song.
