Hollywood FAQs: After two years of being in a relationship, American actor George Clooney and Italian model Elisabetta Canalis have called it quits. The major reason behind the split was the lack of commitment from Clooney.
Canalis wanted to have a happy wedding, while Clooney loved his freedom and luxury. After the Oscar winning actor had ended his four year marriage with Talia Balsam, the actor had announced that he would never marry again.
The statement was maintained till January 2011 when he had repeated the statement. On the other hand, Canalis had hoped that she would get married some day.
The Italian beauty just a while back expressed that she had she believes in the institution of marriage and hopes to get married some day. Canalis had then added that for now she is happy the way she is. Clooney is a person who loves to travel and enjoys his freedom, says Justin Ravitz, the senior editor of Usmagazine.com. The Oscar winning actor had earlier dated British model Lisa Snowdown. Clooney’s love life might be unpredictable, but his movie career is flying in air. His latest film, ‘The Ideas Of March’ will be the opening movie in the 2011 Venice Film Festival.
