Young American singer and actress Selena Gomez is now an older sister, as her mother Mandy Teefey gave birth to a baby girl on June 13, 2013. Teefey gave birth to her second child at a hospital in Northridge, Los Angeles, with her husband Brian Teefey and other family members by her side. This is the first child for Mandy and husband Brian Teefey, who is Selena’s step-father.
Mandy divorced Selena’s father, Ricardo Gomez, when the ‘Come And Get It’ singer was just five-years-old and then re-married in 2006. Selena revealed the baby news to her fans in a message on Mother’s Day. The singer was also spotted out with her mother recently, who was heavily pregnant at the time, at the ArcLight cinema in Hollywood.
They were spotted walking arm-in-arm, as the the trio went to watch the movie ‘The Great Gatsby’. In December 2011, the couple announced that Mandy miscarried her last pregnancy and how devastated they were regarding their loss. During that time, the singer cancelled her scheduled concerts in Chicago and Seattle in order to fly home to be with her mother.
However, soon after Selena came out with the news that they are once again expecting. Selena and her mother share a great bond as Mandy raised her daughter as a working single mother.
