As the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her first child, her younger sister Pippa Middleton will be throwing a baby shower, which will make her the first Royal ever to have such a celebration. After the Queen gave her ‘blessing’ for the event, party was organized for weeks by Pippa, a professional party planner.
One of their friends said, “It isn’t royal tradition but Kate isn’t a traditional Royal.” The celebrations will include a dummy-shaped cake that will be made by their brother James, who runs his own baking firm. Goody bags will include candles and various gifts from stores like Jo Malone and The White Company.
The Royal family does not have a tradition of throwing baby showers, but Kate and William represent a younger, modern generation of Royals. Sources have revealed that the baby shower will take place at the Middleton family home in Berkshire. The Duchess is due to give birth in July 2013 and was unable to attend the charity event with Price William in Chester on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Claims of a baby shower came as Pippa started her own company. She is the sole director and shareholder of PXM Enterprises.
