American actress and producer Courteney Cox and her husband, actor David Arquette, have officially called off their marriage as their divorce has been finalized. Shortly after what could have been their 14th wedding anniversary, the couple’s divorce has been finalized in the Los Angeles Superior Court on May 28, 2013.
The couple announced their separation in October 2010, after 11 years of marriage. They filed divorce papers in June 2012, citing the usual ‘irreconcilable differences’, on the same day which could have been their 13th wedding anniversary. The former couple are parents to daughter Coco, who is almost nine years old and have maintained a friendly relationship since their split.
During an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in January 2013, the actress said, “He’s my best friend in the world. I love.” The actress also said that she does not recommend divorce in general, but that her former husband is her best friend and they have both grown and changed and both appreciate each other more.
After his split from Cox, Arquette began dating Entertainment Tonight reporter Christina McLarty in September 2011. The couple briefly split in March 2012, but then reconciled shortly after that.
