American artist and singer Janet Jackson, through a statement on her website, revealed information about her secret marriage with billionaire Wissam Al Mana. The two have actually been married since last year, but had not told the media about their relationship.
The ‘Scream’ singer revealed that the two got hitched in a very private, quite and a beautiful ceremony, which was quite different from what the gossip sites had reported would take place. Jackson also clarified that the rumors of an extravagant wedding were simply not true.
Moreover, there was also speculation in certain circles that Al Mana was planning to splash out millions on a lavish ceremony and that he was planning to fly the large Jackson family to Qatar aboard private jets. On the other hand, Jackson revealed that they were using their money to do good for others.
The singer said, “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities”. Jackson and Al Mana said that their privacy was respected and that they were allowed to celebrate the occasion and enjoy themselves. In a closing note the couple wrote, “With love, Wissam and Janet.” This is the third marriage for Janet; before Wissam she was married to dancer, songwriter and director Rene Elizondo Jr.
