The best part of the Super Bowl, along with other big events, is that one gets to read different commentaries on the social networking site Twitter. On February 3, 2013, the social network had First Lady Michelle Obama expressing her views on the game as well.
Mrs Obama, in the early second half tweeted, “Watching the #SuperBowl with family & friends. @Beyonce was phenomenal! I am so proud of her! -mo”. This was after Beyonce confessed that she had lip-synced her performance with a pre-recorded track at President Obama’s second inaugural ceremony on January 21, 2013.
After a while, during the Baltimore Ravena and San Francisco 49ers game, Mrs. Obama sent another tweet which said, “Great game! Congrats to the @Ravens. See you at the White House! -mo”. However, there were no comments on the power outage which had stalled the game for around 30 minutes. Moreover, there were no tweets from the President himself.
Before the game started off, there was an announcement from the White House about the plans of Obama watching the game. The message said, “The President and the First Lady are hosting a personal party for friends and family to watch the Super Bowl today”.
