Hollywood actress Ashley Judd and Indy 500 champion Dario Franchitti have decided to call off their marriage, according to a statement from Judd. The star of ‘Dolphin Tale’ told People Magazine that the couple has decided to end their marriage. However, they will continue to call themselves a family based on what they shared, according to the star.
The ‘Missing’ actress took to social networking site Twitter to tweet the words ‘Family Forever’ and included Dario’s Twitter handle in the post. The couple were married in Scotland in the year 2011 and have enjoyed a seemingly stress-free marriage. It was not immediately clear as to what the reason for the breakup could be. The 39-year-old race car driver and the 44-year-old actress said that the decision to end the marriage was mutual.
Ashley has been in the news due to the fact that she may be running for a seat in the Kentucky Senate for the 2014 elections. There have been sections of the media that have speculated that Judd may do well in politics due to the fact that she is a well-known figure and will not have much trouble raising finances for campaigns. She is also a lifelong Kentucky Wildcats fan, which will also play in her favor.
