Rupert Everett came out as a very angry man, thrashing not only Hollywood’s ways of working to fellow actors, but he also made offending remarks about fellow actors Jennifer Aniston and Colin Firth on a recent Radio interview.
Everett, who is openly gay, expressed grief over the way the industry treats homosexuals, in an interview with Radio 4. He opined that Hollywood only puts an act of being liberal and the people in the film industry are actually very conservative.
Calling Aniston’s career ‘tasteless’, the English actor expressed surprise that despite having too many flops to her credit the ‘The Break-Up’ star has retained her place among Hollywood’s top leading ladies. He remarked that there were several actors and actresses in the American film business whose careers are protected by powerful people of the business.
Even fellow English actor Colin Firth could not escape Everett’s ire. Rupert slammed his co-star of his debut movie ‘Another Country’ for his dismal performance in ‘Mamma Mia!’ saying that Firth’s finest performance was that in ‘A Single Man’.
