The three finalists of the US show X Factor 2 Tate Stevens, Carly Rose Sonenclar and the group Fifth Harmony gave their best in their finale performance and each performed a song to woo the audience and to influence their votes.
The top 12 contestants who had already been eliminated from the show, joined the finalists and all of them performed together on Michael Jackson’s ‘You are not alone’. All the singers were dressed in white, as a tribute to the ones killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre last week. Simon Cowell opened the show grieving at the vain waste of innocent lives.
The finale of the show is on December 21, 2012 and the hype has already been successfully created. The judges Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato all seemed very excited about the finale and its results, as they have witnessed the journey of each contestant from being regular people to becoming the popstars that they are today.
Britney even said that she sees a lot of herself in Carly Rose. Carly’s first song was Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’ and she did full justice to it. When Tate Stevens started with Andy Houser’s ‘Anything Goes’, Demi described it as a ‘stadium performance’. Underdogs of the show Fifth Harmony who were not very brilliant at the beginning, but gained momentum slowly, also gave one of their best performances in the song ‘Anything Could Happen’, and Simon said that the group made her proud.
With the final performance over, it all depends on the votes to decide whose life will change forever and who will win the USD 5 million recording contract.
