A sequel to ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is in the pipeline, according to media reports. Andrew Garfield featured as Spider-Man in the first installment and suggested that the sequel will dwell on details of the characters psyche and his orphan status. The second edition to director Marc Webb’s initial release is slated to appear in 2014.
The 29-year-old Garfield spoke to E! News and spoke about changes to Spider-Man’s suit as well. He said that it was tough to relieve himself in the original, so a few modifications were made which now do the job. He said that he was less nervous as a result and that it was going to be nice to have the change in the suit.
The star went on to say that it was good to be able to get the first edition of his portrayal of Spider-Man accepted by audiences. The last Spider-Man character was played by Tobey Macguire five years before Garcia displayed his rendition. The Amazing Spider-Man gathered USD 752 million globally during its run at the box office.
There are a few stars that are rumored to be linked to the sequel. Jamie Foxx is one, while Shailene Woodley from ‘The Descendants’ is another. Foxx could be playing the villainous role of Electro, however this is yet to be confirmed.
