Robbery at Amy Winhouse’s house – Dresses worth $200,00 stolen

In a robbery at Amy Winehouse’s house, two of the late singer’s dresses have been stolen. Among the pieces of clothing that were stolen, one was a wedding dress that the ‘Rehab’ singer had worn when she married Blake Fielder-Civil in 2006, in Miami.

Mitch Winehouse, who is Amy’s father, has said that the dresses were to be auctioned for his daughter’s foundation. The value of the dresses stolen from the North London home is said to have been around $210,000.  The wedding dress was expected to fetch around $161,000. The other piece of clothing was a cocktail dress that the ‘Tears dry on their own’ singer had worn on the ‘Later…With Jools Holland’ show.

Mitch went on to say that the person who stole the dresses knew what they were coming into the Camden for. The 60-year-old said that it was a sickening feeling that someone has purposely stolen the items knowing their sentimental value.

According to reports, the break-in occurred while the ‘Will you still love me tomorrow’ singer’s belongings were being catalogued for storage.  Mitch was also surprised that other more expensive pieces of clothing were not stolen. He went on to say that there were a few people coming and going from the house, and that they have been checking to see whether anything else had been taken as well.
