Dancing with the Stars has seen another injury, and this time it was Melissa Rycroft who was at that receiving end. The star suffered a head injury during rehearsals on Sunday Oct 21, 2012, and was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital. Melissa’s representative has now informed the media that the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader has been released from hospital and is recovering.
Rycroft rose to fame during her stint on the reality television show ‘The Bachelor’, as well as the TV series ‘Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the team’. She went on to win the eight season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
During the current season of Dancing with the Stars, Rycroft was on a good run with partner Tony Dovolani. The pair was to perform a Tango on Tuesday October 24, 2012 for the competition, however the injured dancer’s partner was not sure if they would be able to compete in this week’s event.
In the past Melissa has been injured and not able to compete, owing to which the judges had to make a decision based on her on-stage rehearsal. In the case of the current week however, it was unclear whether the judges had enough information to make a judgement call, if the star is unable to dance on Tuesday.
