Miley Cyrus trespasser sentenced to 18 months in jail

The trespasser who was found at the Studio city home of American actress and singer Miley Cyrus, was sentenced to 18 month imprisonment on October 12, 2012. The man identified as Jason Luis Rivera was found hiding in the bushes.

The judgement was handed down by the Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Dennis Mulcahy on Rivera’s misdemeanor trial. The trespasser was arrested by the Los Angeles Police on October October 12, 2012 for illegally entering the property of the actress on September 8, 2012.

LAPD Deputy Chief Jorge Villegas said that the officers had responded to a radio call of a prowler at the residence. When the man saw the officers, he ran and hid in the bushes where the officers had found him.

The arrest was caught on video and after being arrested Rivera said, “I am a friend of Miley Cyrus. I am. She’s my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years.” According to sources, the man was an obsessed fan of the actress, and will also be provided with a court order to keep away from the singer. While being apprehended, the man had a pair of scissors, and luckily during the incident the singer wasn’t at home.
