Hollywoodfaqs.com: American actor and comedian Eddie Murphy is the latest celebrity to be the victim of a death hoax. The rumors of the death of the ‘Dr. Doolittle’ actor were sparked by the Global Association News, but thankfully the news has been confirmed that it is just another death hoax and the actor is alive and well.
The reports were claimed by a website which alleged that Murphy was killed in a snowboarding accident in Switzerland. The claim had also mentioned that the actor lost the control of his board and had crashed in to the tree and suffered critical injuries.
The false report stated, “The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Eddie Murphy lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.” The news had also claimed that Murphy was air lifted by the ski patrol team to a local hospital, after the incident.
It went on to say that the actor died instantly due to the impact of the crash. The fans of the actor immediately took the social networking sites to discuss the death. Many of the fans did not realize whether the news was true or fake.
