A James Bond pistol has been sold for a whopping £277,250, at an auction held in London yesterday, November 25, 2010. Reports state that it is a Walther air pistol, that was used in the promos of one of the Bond films —  ‘From Russia With Love’ — starring Sean Connery.

The auction was held at Christie’s auction house, London and the pistol was expected to sell somewhere between £15,000 and £20,000 almost ten times lesser than its sold price.

Another Bond pistol, that featured in ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’, was sold at £15,000 at the Popular Culture: Film and Entertainment Sale.

There was an estimation of £230,000 for a Darth Vader costume, but there was no one at the auction, who was interested in buying it. According to sources, the costume was used in the ‘Star Wars’’ second film. This costume is believed to be the first complete darth Vader costume that has been offered for sale.
