It Will Make You Fall In Love With Disney Again

Disney’s live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast finally finally has a full trailer- and we’re loving it! The news Beauty and The Beast is not a remake, it tells the same story but promises everything we saw in the 1991 original – on a far grander scale.

In the first trailer released by Disney, we see Belle’s father Maurice (Kevin Kline) waylaid by the Beast (Dan Stevens) at the latter’s castle. Belle (Emma Watson) gives herself up for Maurice’s sake, but soon learns that the Beast is far kinder than he appears. Meanwhile, Gaston (Luke Evans) is riling the townsfolk up in order to launch an attack on the castle.

The cast also includes – Josh Gad as LeFou, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Audra McDonald as Madame de Garderobe, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and Stanley Tucci as Cadenza.

Beauty and the Beast has been in production since 2014, with Watson stepping in for the lead role of the Beauty – ‘Belle’, in early 2015. It’s one of many live-action Disney remakes, including Aladdin and Mulan, due to hit theaters in the coming years.

When the first teaser trailer of Beauty and The Beast was released in the spring, it was viewed a record 91.8 million times in its first 24 hours—beating the likes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (88 million views), Captain America: Civil War (61 million views) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (55 million views)! The teaser trailer focused on Beast’s castle and offered only a glimpse of the princess – Emma Watson. However, the full trailer, delves more into the story and will surely not disappoint you!

The new Beauty and The Beast has been reinterpreted to appeal to the modern audiences.

“It wasn’t about changing anything, it was about adding dimension to it. We give [fans] everything that they expect and more—no more for more’s sake, more for story’s sake and character’s sake.” – movie producer David Hoberman.
