A First Look at Emma Watson in ‘Beauty and the Beast’

The photos are just as magical as we had hoped!

A handful of new snapshots from approaching Disney movie “Beauty and the Beast”, the live-action production, were recently released, and they are are every bit as charming as we’d have expected. The photos, shared exclusively by Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday, feature every primary character in the film.

With cutting-edge special effects, elaborate attire, massive sets, and rising stars such as Dan Stevens and Emma Watson, Beauty and the Beast is among the most awaited films of next year.

The musical story of a self contained young lady called Belle, and the cursed prince who needs to find the true love of his life before the final petal falls from a bewitched rose. Beauty and the Beast was 1991’s 3rd most profitable movie, not to mention the 1st animated picture to be put forward for an Academy Award in the Best Picture category.


Emma Watson plays the role of Belle in this latest live-action version, which is set to be released on March 17, 2017. The film also features Josh Gad from Frozen as Gaston’s crony, Le Fou, Luke Evans from The Hobbit as Belle’s suitor Gaston, and Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey as the Beast.

You will love this new interpretation of the classic yellow gown which Belle wears in the original Disney version’s ball room shot. The movie’s fresh new songs were written by Tim Rice and Alan Menken.

Directed by Bill Condon, who led the last 2 Twilight pictures as well as the heralded Dreamgirls, Beauty and the Beast will be released on 17 March, among the late revival of remade Disney classics such as The Jungle Book, Oz the Great and Powerful, Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, and Cinderella.
