Turns out CBS is making a game show out of Candy Crush!

CBS Network has recently announced that it will be making a live action TV game show out of the addictive puzzle mobile game. The show will be produced by Matt Kunitz, who previously worked on Fear Factor and Wipeout. The show will be broadcast by CBS within the United States of America, while Lionsgate will be responsible for distributing the new game show on the international level.

The hour-long show will pit teams of two people who will need to use their wits and physical agility to compete on enormous, interactive game boards featuring next generation technology to conquer Candy Crush and be crowned the champions.

Candy Crush had been released in the later part of 2012. It was created by the UK tech company called King Digital. It had been launched as a matching puzzle game to be used for web browsers, but finally it made its way to the market of the smartphones where it was a huge success.

“We are huge fans of ‘Candy Crush’ and, like so many others, we know the ‘rush’ of advancing to the next level of the game,” said CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller. “We’re excited to work with Lionsgate and King to adapt one of the world’s most popular n base who can watch and play along at home.”

While there has not been the announcement when the new game show will air or who will be selected to host it, the new game show likely will be very thrilling for many as they await it with eagerness. Undoubtedly many will be tuned in especially for the first episode when the announcement is made public.
