The Girl on the Train October 7 Release Date

The novel by Paula Hawkins is nothing short of gripping, thrilling and earned it’s place as one of the best books of 2015. Hollywood immediately had to adapt it, and now comes a movie of the same name, starring Emily Blunt, Justin Theroux and Luke Evans, among others.

For those not aware of the story, it revolves around three women – Rachel, Anna and Megan. Rachel is a woman with many demons, one of them being that she has a severe alcohol abuse problem. As her life spirals out of control, she loses everything – from her job to her husband, a man who has moved on and started a family of his own at the old home they shared. She begins to stalk her old life; her ex is now married to his former mistress and they share a baby together. Near the young couple’s home is another seemingly happy family with one thing wrong – Rachel finds out that the woman, Megan, is secretly having an affair. However, she thinks she’s imaging it, considering she has blackouts with all her drinking, and also because she was constantly told by her former husband that she makes things up.
