Hollywood FAQs: Hollywood actress Linda Christian, known for being the first Bond girl, died of cancer in Palm Desert in California. The Mexican actress breathed her last on 22nd July 2011, after she gave up her battle with colon cancer at the age of 87.

Christian was born in Mexico and was first noticed by Warner Bros and had shot to fame in her later ventures. Linda was best known for her role of Vesper Lynd, who was James Bond’s love interest in the TV adaptation of Casino Royale. In the year 1963 she had also starred in the movie The V.I.P.s along with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Apart from her daughters, the actress has also left behind eight grand children.
