Hollywood FAQs: After four years of marriage, British actress Elizabeth Hurley and businessman Arun Nayar were officially divorced on Wednesday. The divorce was granted at a hearing in London in the UK, by the District Judge Penny Cushing.
Surprisingly, neither Nayar or Hurley were present while their names were called out along with the other divorcing couples, who were present in the court. Hurley had stated the reason for divorce as ‘unreasonable behavior’.
The couple had tied the knot in the year 2007 at a castle in the UK, when singer Elton John had given away the bride. Later, the couple also had a lavish Indian-style, traditional Hindu wedding at a palace in Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan in India.
In December 2010, it was announced that the couple had separated. And since then, the actress had been romantically linked with Australian cricketer Shane Warne. The ‘Bedazzled’ actress had even accompanied the cricketer at the Indian IPL matches and boldly kissed the sportsman.
Earlier, Hurley had dated actor Huge Grant for about a decade. Moreover, the actress also has a nine year old son Damian from a brief relationship with producer Steve Bing. Hurley and Nayar had started dating in the year 2002. The actress had then filed for a divorce on 2nd April 2011.
