Taylor Swift and other artists cancel New York concert due to thunderstorms

Hollywood FAQs: Various artists including ‘Valentine’s Day’ actress Taylor Swift and the Black Eyed Peas were supposed to perform at the Central Park in New York, but were forced to cancel their concert due to the bad weather. Thursday night’s concert – which was supposed to benefit the anti- poverty organization ‘Robin Hood foundation’ -had to be canceled due to poor weather.

More than 60,000 fans were expected to attend the concert, which was supposed to be held at the Great Lawn at Central Park. Initially, the promoters of the concert had delayed the concert, but later the show had to be called off as it started to thunder and rain.

Music artists LL Cool J, Natasha Bedingfield and Debbie Harry were also supposed to perform at the concert. According to a representative of the concert, no new date has been released for the concert yet.

The organizers in a statement had said that the heat wasn’t going to stop them, the rain was not going to stop them, but the lightening had stopped them as it had come to the safety of all people involved in the concert. Even the artists who were supposed to perform had apologized to the fans.
