American country music singer Jason Aldean will be splitting up from his wife Jessica Ussery. The couple has been married for about 12 years. Aldean has cited irreconcilable differences and has filed for the divorce at the Williamson County Tenn court on April 26, 2013.
A representative of the singer confirmed that the 36-year-old and his wife were having problems in recent times. The couple are also parents to 10-year-old Keeley and 5-year-old Kendyl. The representative said, “I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share with the press at this time”.
The spokesperson went on to say that the issue was a family matter and that they were hoping that everyone will respect their decision and privacy. Problems between the couple started emerging after certain photographs surfaced, in which Aldean was seen being affectionate with the American idol contestant Brittany Kerr.
After the pictures surfaced, the singer had also published a public apology on his Facebook page saying that the matter had affected his relationship with his wife. Aldean, in the month of December, said that he was looking forward to a great year in 2013 and had also walked the red carpet alone at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
