Bill Maher sued by Donald Trump over Orangutan comment

Donald Trump, the billionaire and the host of reality series ‘The Apprentice’ has sued Bill Maher over a joke that did not go down well with him. The comedian host of ‘The Real Time with Bill Maher’ quipped on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ that Trump was a descendant of the Orangutan, following which the billionaire filed a case against him.

In a response to Trump’s pre-election offer to give $5 million to a charity of Barack Obama’s choice (if the president released his college records), comedian Maher said that he too would do the same thing. Maher said he would donate $5 million to charities like ‘Hair Club for Men’ or ‘Institute for incorrigible Douchebaggery’, if Trump proved that he was not a descendant of the ape.

Trump immediately hurled Maher a letter and a copy of his birth certificate, which proved that he was not a descendant of the ape, but son of Fred Trump. He also stated that now Maher should stick to his word and start donating to charities that he promised during the bet. Hurricane sandy was one of them.

According to Trump, the controversial comment did not sound like joke at all and had venom in it. It remains to be seen what will become of the situation.
