Trevin Hunte sent packing on The Voice as three finalists emerge

The third season of the US reality-TV series ‘The Voice’ is now coming to an end. On December 11, 2012, one contestant was eliminated leaving the 3 people to battle it out for the crown. The remaining singers are Cassadee Pope, Nicholas David and Terry McDermott. Team Cee Lo’s Trevin Hunte was sent home, leaving the audience almost in tears as Hunte was a lovable character on the show.

Hunte was all praise for Cee Lo in his exit speech, saying that he was happy to be there and that he would always love Green. He also said that his coach had pushed him and motivated him to do well in the competition. The ‘Crazy’ singer was also a bit saddened at the thought that two of his singers were left in the bottom two. Both David and Hunte belonged to the same team and Cee Lo said that they had his love, loyalty and respect.

The show on December 11, 2012 was filled with performances from former contestants such as Chris Mann, who performed ‘Roads’, a power-ballad. Chris was once a member of Chrisina’s team. A former member of Blake’s team RaeLynn kept things slow and seductive with her song ‘Boyfriend’, while Juliet Simms, formerly from team Cee Lo sang ‘Wild Child’.

David and Hunte closed the show with their version of Mariah Carey’s ‘Hero’.
